Bottrop is in
the eyes of many foreigners a very typical town of the Ruhr
- district.
Bottrop was the second - largest Polish speaking town of
the world (behind Warzwawa), and Bottrop has got again communistic
aldermen since the 1970s.
But the creation of the new town Glabotki (= Gladbeck, Bottrop
and Kirchhellen) failed and so a new joke - town didn´t
arise...
Cliché or reality? Also Bottrop is changing itself
from the old coal mining town to a modern industrial town
